Ranma, Decorative Transom, located at the entrance is twin with Saki Zaimoku‐cho. After passing the sun light transom, you can see the perfect view of the Kamo river.The scenery from the living room and the own deck are just for you.

Other Machiya


The central pillar of a pagoda is about 150 years old tree. The ceiling wood is made by pine.
You can feel the gorgeous building timber from every room.
From the 1st floor living room and Tatami room, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the Kamo river At the 2nd floor, there is traditional Japanese tatami room, and high celling bed room, and of course you can enjoy the view of Kamo river.

Neighborhood information

Takase river was wide river to bring the wood, zaimoku, from the lower reaches.
This is the reason, today, this area called Zaimoku-cho. Walking distance to Gion and Miyagawa‐cho, where you may see the Maikos and/ or Geikos.
